A byte of the Matrix

The world is made of pixels, our memories, conversations and much more. As designers we love to explore this massive pixel matrix to gain a better understanding of the world. But what is a pixel and how can we analyze the individual pixel so to process an entire image? (think motion/face detection)

An image of 800 x 600 can take several seconds to loop through the 480,000 pixels, if conventional methods are employed…….but there is another way…. here I explore the low level code that makes up a pixel.
